I feel as if "filk" is a genre that many here might enjoy. It's a sort of amateur folk music created by fantasy and science fiction fans, and covering such themes. I discovered it as a genre in 2019 thanks to FloatingGhost, and I often go back to it.
Here are a few examples I enjoy greatly ...

Re: anime time anime time
My wife and I have been slowly watching Frieren lately. I'm not usually much of an anime person but I'm enjoying it.
I have watched a few over the years that I've enjoyed however, though I'm unsure if I'll have seen anything that you haven't.
Perhaps you'd like "Mushishi" if you don't know it, it ...

The moment I read this I instantly knew who you meant. John Peel was great. Amazing talent for getting obscure artists heard.
Really awesome post, thank you for the introduction and I'll be sure to check out those ...

Music in Languages You Don't Understand
Lately I've found myself listening to a lot of music in Finnish.
I had a friend back in 2019 who introduced me to a lot of this music. I don't know what it is about the music, and the language, but I find it really enjoyable to listen to. Just something about the phonology I think just makes it ...

Re: Teaching yourself...
I've a lot of projects currently. I tend to set reminders on my phone to do things, work on things. Often times I'll end up pushing them back for quite a while but they remain and eventually I do get around to actually completing a lot of them.
Right now I've got a few things I want to work on from ...

Re: Teaching yourself...
Fascinating that you sequence your projects and tasks. How do you determine which order to put them in? What takes priority?

Re: MMO lifestyle
RuneScape essentially formed the backdrop of my teenage years. Though perhaps that isn't quite correct, maybe it was the other way around.
I have a lot of fond memories of it, and it really was a wonderful social experience. I very much enjoyed the quests as well honestly. I spent so much time in ...

Re: Teaching yourself...
For teaching myself new things, I must admit, I don't necessarily think I've a great knack for it. Generally I will try to set out some structured ideas, and break down the goal into smaller objectives like you yourself has done.

Re: Introduce yourself
Hello.
I am Brigantia. Judging by the other posts on this "introduce yourself", it would seem I've missed the party so to speak. Maybe my joining will reawaken a few old posters as this seems an interesting place.
I am actually somebody known to several people on here but not through this name. I ...
