ive been a dork for ska (i am vulnerable to brass instruments) for a while and i first heard this band in like 2010 and i like them a lot, but i like, forgot to keep up with them over the last dozen years or so. im obsessed with their latest album from 2022, bohemia.

i havent really explored japanese ska outside of oreskaband and tokyo ska paradise orchestra he he

favorite track from the album:

Listened and appreciated, really great vibes, I think if you asked me if this was Ska I'd have said no but I can definitely see why it's included. I'm gonna start working my way through the rest of the album :).

(I mind be violating the spirit of the forum with smaller posts but)

Yeah, this album is fantastic, easily up in some of my top favorite music for musics album now. I like how lively it is, it feels exuberant and enthusiastic and experimental. I don't think I've filly listened to all of it but have done most of it, very solid.

How did you find this?

hehe, ska is a genre ive liked since middle school. i listened to like a couple dozen different albums throughout high school but around like 21-22 yo i started exploring stuff more, mostly through like /jp/ and a friend who was into japanese music. so when i learned about a japanese ska band i was like yeah sure why not.

long long ago, when there were loads of blogs full of download links for this stuff. i do kind of miss those days, but soulseek is good too.

These are so nice! I'm a big fan of Japanese new wave but never listened to Japanese ska before.. it's insane! Thanx so much for sharing, and hope you can share more if you find anymore cool things..
